Colon Cleanse Pill for four days. Very ill, anyone help?

I was on a detox for a week, I then took colon cleansing pills

I had diarrea the whole week ( also two weeks before) and severe diarrhea for the last four days. As well as throwing up. No appetite. Everything makes me want to hurl. I have a horrible taste in my throat that won't go away. Even water makes me want to be sick.

I woke up this morning and threw up, I then was curled up in pain with a burning sensaton and cramps in my stomach.

This can't just be a stomach bug?

No fever. .


Any help would be appreciated ( and yes I'm going to the DRs)

Sorry to hear that you're feeling ill.

Firstly, colons cleanse themselves. These colon cleansers are just a poor marketing ploy to make money and unfortunately, resulting in some people, like you, suffering from it when they are out to do what's right for their bodies.

Your body will get rid of it in time.
Either, you have an allergic reaction to the pill or you got a dodgy batch. If your body is rejecting it in that way, it doesn't see it as a benefit to retain it.

Yep, docs is a good way to go. However, in future, drink water and eat healthily (if you already do, then great). Don't believe in any of these money making gimmicks.

You did something very foolish, these people on here that recommend these colon cleansing pills and treatments have no idea what they're speaking about. When you do this your flushing all the good, needed bacteria out of the colon that's needed for a good healthy lifestyle. If it wasn't meant to be there, it wouldn't be. Your going to end up with thrush and other disease from this. Start taking a good grade of yogurt to replace the lost bacteria and you'll start feeling better soon. If the diarrhea gets to bad call your doctor, tell him what you did, he can give you a pill or liquid to stop this also.

Very sad to hear that you are another victim of these colon-cleanse conners.

The severe diarrhea would have truly cleansed out all your good bacteria in your guts and also most of the mucous membrane, and your body is reacting to it by not allowing food in because it can't digest anything now.

You should go to the ER now, call 911, don't delay. They will treat you and most probably put you on a drip. If you are too weak, please ask a friend or family member to help you, but hurry, don't wait.
And don't try to self-medicate. You can try taking a hot drink of chocolate or soya but no milk or solids.

Meantime, say a prayer and ask the Lord for help, He will prevent a disaster from happening.
